Easy Snacks : Chicken sausage rolls
In these times of the GFC, many of us are looking for cheap and tasty snacks to substitute for what we would normally purchase.
Today I thought I’d share one of my tasty snacks – homemade chicken sausage rolls.
These are heaps easy to make, and easy on the wallet as well.
What you need:
– puff pastry (find in your freezer aisle, about $5 for 6 sheets)
– sausages (I used chicken ones, about $4 for 5)
– egg
Method:
1. Cut the puff pastry into a smaller size but still big enough to wrap around the sausage.
2. Wrap the puff pastry around the sausage.
3. Use the beaten egg to stick the end of the puff pastry sheet together.
4. Bake until golden brown.
5. Take out of the oven and slice into smaller pieces for easier eating.
Note: Only 3 sheets of puff pastry were used to make these, so you have half a box left over for next time!

Don’t forget to let them cool down before you eat them, because they are REALLY hot when they come out of the oven!
Do you have any GFC recipes to share?

Interesting idea!
How long would it be in the oven for to make sure the sausage is cooked inside?
my gfc recipe is tuna cheeseburger
bread
can of tuna on top
then cheese
then ketchup
under the griller
put other piece of toast on
eat while it's hot
Thanks for the comments guys!
Mobblees: I think it should take about 15 minutes
Sonywalkmanblues: That's an interesting recipe.
