Sushi Bar Hiro, Beverly Hills
I want to share one of my favourite restaurants with you – Sushi Hiro.
Sushi Hiro is a small, cosy Japanese restaurant situated towards the station end of the Beverly Hills strip. The sushi chef prepares food behind a counter that takes up half the restaurant and the staff are usually quite friendly, if a bit slow. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced, with a range of salads, sushi, tempura etc. All the usual Japanese suspects!
The sashimi is always fresh and generously portioned. In this combo, the salmon and kingfish sashimi are standouts for me.
The salads here are an absolute winner! I don’t know what they put in their dressing but it is so yummy. This chasoba salad is one of my faves, as is their sashimi salad. The chasoba salad comes in a big bowl with veggies and an onion soy dressing. Highly recommended!
It’s a good idea to make a booking on a Saturday night because it’s quite popular with the locals. Worth it though, I’ve been coming here for years!
