✦ El Alseel located around the corner from The Grounds in Alexandria is a great place for lunch or dinner. It is large and spacious, with parking on site, great food and great service.
✦ On this occasion we went there for an early dinner and really stuffed ourselves silly
✦ Word of advice – there is bread and olives that come before dishes are served – do not fill up on these!
Eggplant entree – a cold entree with eggplant and capsicums cooked till soft with a tomato-ey sauce. Very tasty.
Falafel – you cannot eat Lebanese cuisine without ordering some of these bad boys – so crunchy and delicious
Chicken shish kebabs with garlic sauce – I could literally eat these all day. Juicy succulent pieces of chicken marinated and cooked over coals until golden brown.
Beef sharma – not as good as the chicken but yum nonetheless. The meat is a tad dry but nothing the delicious sauce couldn’t fix!
