✦ The famous Jamie’s Italian opened up to quite the fanfare many years ago when Jamie Oliver decided to bring this chain down under to Sydney.
✦ Lines used to be out the door with no reservations taken unless you had 10+ group, but nowadays you can even book online for just 2 people.
✦ A few times a year they offer $10 pasta where selected pasta dishes can be had for $10 for a period of 2 weeks. As I hadn’t been in years and so decided to check it out.
Prawn tagliatelle – $10 – this dish normally costs ~$24 dollars for a main size and so the offer is definitely a big saving. Taste wise the sauce was pretty nice and the pasta cooked al dente, however the prawns did not seem fresh and were a bit tough.
