Tequila Daisy, Barangaroo

It’s been a while since I have been to Barangaroo and it was really vibing on this Friday night. Luckily I had made a booking for my friend and I to catch up at Tequila Daisy, a Mexican restaurant which had been recommended to her by a friend. The sun was shining on the water and almost every restaurant along the strip was busy, so I was glad that we had the reservation.

I wasn’t very hungry after a late lunch so we ordered a range of items from the starters and tacos to share.

I think it is almost criminal that a simple bowl of guac and chips now costs $17! For me, they have always been a cheap starter but I guess that is the cost of living crisis for you. This guac was average, there wasn’t anything special about it and the corn chips were deceptively spicy.

Out of the entire meal, these two rock oysters were the best order. They were slightly warm from the grill and full of flavour.
Unfortunately the rest of the meal was very mediocre. There weren’t any standouts, and everything just tasted quite average. We both agreed that we were underwhelmed and wouldn’t be in a rush to come back. It is a shame because the service was friendly and the views were great.
